With our memory foam mattress topper, you add an extra layer of body-contouring foam to your mattress. Sinomax memory foam actually relieves the pressure on your body, improves sleeping posture and allows your muscles to relax so you sleep more restfully.
If you find that your purchased product is defective, please allow us the opportunity to correct it. Our warranty covers manufacturer defects only, not wear and tear from time and usage, or products damaged as a result of exposure to non-recommended environments. All claims are subject to review.
As long as the mattress topper is large enough, you can use a serrated-edge cutting tool or large shears to trim any Sinomax mattress topper to fit virtually any bed. This includes daybeds, camper and boat mattresses—even cots.
Sinomax makes mattress toppers that can fit over any standard-sized twin, full, queen or king mattress, box spring or platform bed.
While Sinomax does not sell covers separately through retailers or directly to consumers, we recommend using either a mattress cover or pad sold by the retailers who carry our mattress toppers. You should be able to find a deep pocket cover or pad that fits most standard-sized mattresses—even with the additional thickness of the mattress topper.
Some retailers do not carry all sizes of mattress toppers. Call your local retailer to confirm availability.
As with any sleeping product, when exposed directly to flames, it will burn. Be assured, however, that we meet the highest standards for flame retardancy, as determined by the California Technical Bulletin 117 test. This fire code information is available upon request and is accepted by most nursing homes across the country.
Memory foam, also referred to as visco-elastic polyurethane foam, is made similar to conventional foam found in a couch or car seat, with added materials to increase its viscosity and density. Memory foam reacts to body heat and adjusts to the contours of your body, eliminating pressure points and enhancing comfort.
Density of memory foam is like thread count for sheets. The higher the thread count, the more comfortable the sheets are. Likewise, the higher the density, the better memory foam moulds to the shape of your body.
Every product made of memory foam has some chemical odor, but odor typically dissipates within a day or two when the memory foam product is allowed to air out.
Most people prefer the comfort of a memory foam mattress or topper. Because memory foam was designed to interact with body heat to create contoured support and comfort, it absorbs heat and becomes firmer in cooler temperatures. There is no clinical data to prove that memory foam makes your body temperature rise while sleeping on it.
On rare occasions, it is possible to have a polyurethane allergy. If you are allergy sensitive, we recommend washing the cover first to help prevent a reaction.
Memory foam technology was developed by NASA scientists to react to temperature. If foam is exposed to extreme heat over longer periods of time, it could soften and become less comfortable.
Testing for memory foam is easy. Firmly press the palm of your hand on the topper. If a handprint indentation remains after you remove your hand, the topper is memory foam. Some thicker memory foam toppers are made with memory foam on one side and regular foam on the other. To get the most comfort and benefit from your mattress topper, use the topper with the memory foam side up.
CertiPUR-US® is a voluntary testing, analysis and certification program developed by members of the global foam industry in response to substandard imported foams. An independent laboratory tests and certifies products such as mattresses and upholstered furniture using standardized chemical analysis, emissions evaluation, environmental guidelines, physical performance testing, pledges of compliance and random compliance verification. Products that carry the CertiPUR-US® seal contain flexible polyurethane foams that meet specific criteria for physical performance, indoor emissions and environmental stewardship. For more information, please visit www.certipur.us
Consumers care about what’s inside the products they buy. The CertiPUR-US® seal enables them to make informed choices about the foam in products they choose.
Unless your mattress, mattress topper or pillow becomes wet or soiled, it will not mold. In the event that your product does become wet or soiled, we strongly suggest purchasing a replacement to avoid the formation of mold.
Typically, you can place your memory foam mattress topper on your mattress and it will almost fully recover in a couple of hours. While you can sleep on it at that time, it may take up to 24 hours for any slight chemical odor to dissipate.
Absolutely. You may use your own cover, but plastic waterproof covers may affect airflow and therefore, comfort.
While you may use a waterproof cover, the provided cover allows more breathability for the memory foam and may be more comfortable to sleep on.
We don’t recommend it. Since body heat activates the memory foam and helps it contour around your body’s shape, the additional heat from electric blankets, heating pads or electric mattress pads can soften the foam and affect its comfort. Should you still decide to use an electric heating pad or blanket for a short period of time to warm the bed, be advised to check the electrical item for potentially hazardous loose wires.
For maximum comfort, we recommend you rotate your Sinomax mattress topper from head to toe just once a month or when you change your sheets.
Yes. Memory foam mattress toppers are made to be stored on a flat surface, like a bed that’s not being used, or underneath. Do not fold the topper for storage because it may tear and as folding is not the recommended storage position, doing so will void your warranty.
When you press down on the memory foam side, you’ll notice an impression of your hand. This side goes up. Next, slip the cover over the foam and be sure that the zipper closure is on the bottom (the non-memory foam) side. When you’re finished, the zipper should lie on top of the mattress.
Leave the cover on and carefully roll the topper to help prevent it from tearing during your move.
Simply spot clean with a damp cloth. Do NOT apply water directly to your memory foam.
